colord software package provides system service to manage device colour profiles -- system daemon, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install colord
colord is installed in your system.
Make ensure the colord package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep colord *
You will get with colord package name, version, architecture and description in a table
